Food for the Hungry (FH) is partnering with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFGB) and the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee (CRWRC) to provide maize, haricot beans, Famix, and oil to 21,688 people in drought-affected communities within Ethiopia.
Zewey, Ethiopia: With funding received from CFGB, FH will distribute food to 3,180 most vulnerable individuals in Zewey from August through December.
Shashemene, Ethiopia: FH will give nutritional support through food distribution to 18,488 individuals identified as most vulnerable within Shashemene for five months starting in August.
A food distribution program of this scale and widespread geographical coverage requires additional transport, vehicles, fuel, warehouse space and hiring additional personnel. FH is appealing to raise $122,000 funds to cover the necessary support costs. Please help FH help Africans suffering through this food crisis.
